Class Updates 

Year 5 are Inventors!  

For our Good Learning Week, we were tasked with becoming problem solvers! We looked at different careers which require problem solving skills, such as police officers, engineers and inventors. Miss Metcalfe gave us two real-life problems to solve... 

1, Teachers have too many books to carry at the end of the day meaning holding an umbrella is problematic. They are often arriving to their cars soaking wet! 

2, Children in Year 5 are constantly having to get up from their seats to get their workbooks and water bottles. This can be time-consuming. 

We then worked in teams to invent a product to solve these problems. Our designs were innovative, creative and should definitely be brought to market!

Congratulations to Moses and Ariana for being elected as class councillors! 

PE 

A reminder that PE is on Wednesday and Fridays. We are blessed to have a coach on Fridays who is currently teaching Year 5 football skills. Can all children please bring appropriate kit including trainers. Thank you.
