Computing Intent
Computing at Castle Hill Primary School aims to develop the competence and confidence of learners in a changing technological world. Through a progressive, ambitious and knowledge rich curriculum we provide opportunities for learners to be creative and equip children for future life and work.
Pupils learn how to become IT literate and create and change programmes to aid tasks in everyday life, developing computational thinking and a functional use of IT. At Castle Hill primary School, we recognise the vital role we play in supporting children and families with keeping safe online, promoting and developing an understanding of the strategies in order to do this. Pupils learn key vocabulary and how to think if different ways to suit a wide variety of creative and challenging activities, using a range of IT programmes and resources.
