  • Treginnis Farm

    Mon 03 Jul 2023

In June, some of our children from Years 5 and 6 went to Treginnis Farm, on the Pembrokeshire coast in South Wales.  Whilst they were there, they worked on the farm, looking after the animals and gardening with the farmers.  They had a wonderful week.

We are booked to return to Treginnis Farm in April 2024 - details will be sent home to the Year 5 and 6 children in September.

  • July Strike Action

    Mon 03 Jul 2023

You may be aware that the National Education Union (NEU) have called two further days of industrial action on Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th July 2023

A number of our employees are members of the NEU and as such we will be affected by the industrial action. The governing body, with myself, has therefore undertaken a risk assessment for the school to assess safeguarding and the children’s safety in the absence of key staff members on each day.  Consequently, a partial school closure will occur on each strike day, as follows:

On Wednesday 5th July, the closed classes are:

    • Nursery
    • Year 1
    • Year 2
    • Year 4

The other classes will be open and children in these classes will be expected to attend school as normal.  The open classes are:

    • Reception
    • Year 3
    • Year 5
    • Year 6

On Friday 7th July, the closed classes are:

    • Nursery
    • Reception
    • Year 1
    • Year 2
    • Year 3
    • Year 4

The other classes will be open and children in these classes will be expected to attend school as normal.  The open classes are:

    • Year 5
    • Year 6

Remember, there are learning activities available on the school website for the closed classes.

Please note changes to the above may occur between now and the mornings of the strike action and I will advise you accordingly in the event of this.
